Neurotoxin injections are very common and low-risk procedures. The most reported side effects include headaches, minor bruising, and swelling at the injection site, although these are rare. Your nurse injector will cover all potential risks before treatment.

1. ✅ 24–48 Hours Before:

   • Avoid retinol, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, or any exfoliating products

   • Skip waxing, threading, or facial hair removal in the treatment area

   • Avoid excessive sun exposure or tanning beds

   • Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated

   ❌ Day of Treatment – Please Avoid:

   • Wearing makeup to your appointment (we’ll cleanse your skin)

   • Using harsh products or exfoliants on your skin

   • Taking ibuprofen or NSAIDs, which may increase sensitivity (unless prescribed)

   ⚠️ Let us know if:

   • You have any recent facial procedures (laser, peels, injectables, etc.)

   • You're pregnant or breastfeeding (so we can select safe serums)

   • You have a history of cold sores — we may recommend a prophylactic antiviral

1. ✅ DO:

   • Apply SPF 30+ daily (your skin will be more sun-sensitive)

   • Use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer for the next 2–3 days

   • Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated

   • Wait at least 24 hours before applying makeup

   • Use clean pillowcases and avoid touching your face

   🚫 AVOID for 48 Hours:

   • Direct sun exposure or tanning beds

   • Heat-heavy environments (saunas, steam rooms, hot yoga)
